O Odometric Encoder Disk será o recurso utilizado para aferir o deslocamento do robô. É um disco raiado, com listras brancas e pretas, fixado nas rodas, que fornecerá informações aos sensores. Foi elaborado em uma ferramenta de desenho técnico, o QCAD.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
O [http://www.qcad.org/ QCAD] é uma alternativa ''open source'' para desenho técnico. Encontra-se disponível nos repositórios das maiores distribuições (testado no Fedora e (K)Ubuntu), e também para download em sua página principal. De fácil utilização, produz arquivos em formato .DXF, compatível com ferramentas mais tradicionais do mercado, como o AutoCAD. É um arquivo vetorial, assim permite redimensionamentos sem perda de qualidade, e também a possibilidade de ser exportado para diversos formatos de imagem (PNG, BMP, JPG, etc), além de PDF.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
As diretrizes para elaboração do disco foram colhidas a partir de um CD comum:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* Diâmetro total: 12cm;&lt;br /&gt;
* Diâmetro da marcação intermediária: 3,4cm.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Para as raias listradas:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
* Diâmetro externo: 12cm;&lt;br /&gt;
* Diâmetro intermediário: 10cm;&lt;br /&gt;
* Diâmetro interno: 8cm;&lt;br /&gt;
